Married May 19, 2012
Nick and Katie got engaged overlooking the water on their favorite rock cliff in Knights Ferry. As the wedding preparations began, anyone who knows Katie knew she’d pick blue…and she did…navy blue with accents of gray and pink. The bride and groom also incorporated Nick’s love for woodwork. He handcrafted the appetizer table, the buffet table, a beautiful chandelier that hung over the head table, and a one of a kind carved heart that they used as a guest book where guests signed their names in sharpie.
Katie, a true country girl at heart, saw her childhood dreams come true as they chose her parents home as the location of their wedding. Decked in her blue cowboy boots, they watched as guests drank from mason jars filled with lemonade and ice tea during their ceremony and read the simple love sayings and songs her cousin had painted on old wood fruit drying trays. Nick also loves jam so Katie, her mom, aunt, and other family & friends got together and made strawberry jam with labels that read, “Spread the Love”.
Her boots might be made for walking, but on May 19th, 2012 Katie stayed planted and
married her very best friend who makes her laugh more than anyone.
