1. SELECTING IMAGES
We select images with our readers in mind. What will inspire our readers, future brides and
grooms, and newly engaged? Details! A few of the details we love to see, include: flowers, desserts, fashion, food, decor, jewelry, invitations and other paper goods, unique ideas and projects included in creating the couples’ wedding. Pictures that tell the story of the their big day.
TIP::Consider images that are light, airy, uncluttered and detailed. Please avoid art effects
such as vignettes, too many black and white, or images that are too busy. A good mix of horizontal and vertical images are best.
2. PHOTOGRAPHY & SUBMISSION
Create a file folder under the couples name and your name (“bride+groom +jonesphoto.jpeg”) including 50-150 CMYK high-res (300dpi) images. Please do not send photos in RGB format. We suggest you re-name the images with the couples names and photographers name. Example: “bride+groom +jonesphoto.jpeg”. This allows us to easily sort and file images.
3. DETAILED DESCRIPTION
Include a description of the wedding from the couple along with the following information::
• The couples first & last name, phone numbers, email, and mailing address
• Wedding date
• Wedding location, ceremony and reception
• Theme and/or inspiration behind the day
• Sources where some of the great details were found
• Any DIY projects you have highlighted in your photography
The more information you can provide, the easier it is for us to determine what to feature.
Please list all vendors hired. Company name and website.
Once you have this folder ready, please send it to [email protected] using DropBox.com or any other application that allows you to send large folders.
Once we have selected a wedding, we contact the couple to verify the information provided.
