Real Wedding~ Ali & Edgar

Married October 7, 2017

When Alexandra got up and went to work one morning, she never thought that it would be the day she met the love of her life. Edgar, a patient at the medical office Alexandra worked at, finally built the courage up to ask Alexandra out after seeing her through multiple office visits. A rendezvous over coffee and bowling led to their inseparable relationship.

After their 2014 engagement, Alexandra and her mother worked closely together on all of the details. Incorporating color was important to Alexandra. Vibrant Mexican Maracas were selected as the wedding favors and Alexandra found the colors of them inspirational for the wedding décor.

“Edgar and I really wanted my dad and brother’s trade of welding to make a lasting impression on our special day,” says Alexandra. “We asked them to build a large metal ring that we would have covered in flowers for the altar which we then had staged behind us for the reception.”

On a Fall afternoon, under a sunlit sky, Edgar gazed with emotion as Alexandra walked down the aisle in a stunning Maggie Sottero strapless ballgown. They said their “I Do’s” in front of their closest friends and family followed by celebrations on the  grounds at Pageo Lavender Farm.

“As we look back on such a beautiful day, we also want to pay respects to my Grandma Francis Chapa who was not able to make it to our wedding, Says Alexandra. “She passed away a couple days later while we were Honeymooning in Maui. Edgar and I hope we may continue to love one another in marital bliss like my grandparents had for over 60 years.”

Meghan & Kurt Baudler

Married September 1, 2013

Meghan & Kurt met in the second grade and she still has the letter he wrote to her in the 3rd grade to prove that love endures, going through all of elementary school together they then reconnected years later.2013-09-01 Kurt & Meghan-1738With such a history together, they wanted their wedding to focus on “going back to their roots.” Since they had met at such a young age, they decided to incorporate their shared childhood memories into their special day and on display at the ceremony was a childhood love letter. 2013-09-01 Kurt & Meghan-1656

The couple arranged a reading of the childhood classic, The Giving Tree, and as part of the décor they included chalkboard accents and used photos of themselves growing up for the table numbers. The tree-theme was used throughout the invitations, programs, decorations, and readings.2013-09-01 Kurt & Meghan-1652

Meghan and Kurt wanted the wedding to be simple and casually elegant, they chose Pageo Lavender Farms (their venue) as a starting point to help with deciding on the tone of the wedding and their colors of soft ivory, blush pink, and chocolate brown.  All of the elements came together and complemented the beauty that the farm already offered.2013-09-01 Kurt & Meghan-15172013-09-01 Kurt & Meghan-13662013-09-01 Kurt & Meghan-1092The only challenge for the couple in planning their event was knowing where to stop with the DIY even though they were having so much fun with it!

Louie & Stephanie Borba

Married November 19, 2011

While enjoying a sushi dinner date at Modesto Sushi Garden, Stephanie & Louie witnessed a proposal at a table across from them. Afterwards, Stephanie made it clear that Louie better not propose if she was dressed like the new bride-to-be next to her-right after a work out and still in gym clothes. With their love for a great obnoxious story, Louie did just that.

On a dinner date to Sushi Garden in Turlock, Louie was so excited to propose that he only got as far as the parking lot before asking Stephanie to marry him..in her workout clothes..and after much convincing that it was not a joke, she said yes.

During the next six months, with the help of her mom, maid of honor, and future sister-in-law, the planning process went effortlessly. Reinforcements were definitely needed as the final head count for their wedding was around 650 guests. Four days after getting engaged, the girls flew to New York City to fulfill Stephanie’s dream of buying her dress there and with many of their chosen vendors already as family friends, everything came together quickly.

On November 19th, 2011, their photographer, Stephanie Baker, cautioned Stephanie that Louie was very emotional, She didn’t believe it. But as she started to walk down the aisle and saw him crying, she was overwhelmed with love and joy. Apart from that unforgettable moment, the bride and groom enjoyed every minute of connecting to all guests that made their day memorable.

As they jetted off to France, Italy, and St Lucia for their honeymoon, they couldn’t help but feel overwhelmed by the love and support of all who came out to celebrate alongside them.
